Delhi’s Special Evening Courts are one of the easiest ways to settle court traffic challans without missing work. But many people get stuck at the online booking step. Here is a clear, step-by-step guide.
Evening Court Basics
- Timing: working days, typically 5 pm to 7 pm (as reported)
- Where: Tis Hazari, Patiala House, Saket, Karkardooma, Rohini, Dwarka and Rouse Avenue court complexes
- Challan limit: reported as up to 5 challans per vehicle per day
- Booking: online, on the Delhi Traffic Police evening court portal
Before You Start: Link Your Mobile Number
The booking uses an OTP sent to the mobile number registered with your vehicle in the VAHAN database. If you changed your number or bought a used vehicle, update it first on the Parivahan website (mobile number update service). Without this, you will not receive the OTP.
Step-by-Step Slot Booking
- Open traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/evecourtddc.
- Enter your vehicle registration number and request OTP.
- Enter the OTP received on the vehicle-linked mobile.
- The system shows challans eligible for the Evening Court. Select up to the allowed number.
- Choose the court complex, date and time slot.
- Accept the undertaking and download the appointment slip.
- Visit the court on the date with the slip and documents.
Documents to Carry
- Appointment slip printout
- Challan numbers / copies and any court notice
- RC, driving licence, photo ID
- Payment method (UPI/card)
Common Booking Errors

| All slots full | Try again the next morning, or use the Weekend Court |
| More than 5 challans | Book multiple days or consider the Lok Adalat |
