Virtual Court Challan Delhi – Check, Pay & Resolve Online
When a Delhi e-challan is not paid, it is often sent to the Virtual Court. Learn how to find it, pay it, contest it, and what happens if you ignore it.
What Is the Virtual Court for Traffic Challans?
The Virtual Court is an online court set up under the eCourts project to handle petty traffic offences without physical hearings. In Delhi, many camera-based and e-challans that remain unpaid with the traffic police are forwarded to the Virtual Court (Traffic Department). A judicial officer proposes a fine online and you can pay it, or choose to contest the challan.
How to Check and Pay a Virtual Court Challan
- Go to vcourts.gov.in and select Delhi and Delhi (Traffic Department).
- Search by challan number, vehicle number, mobile number or CNR number.
- View the proposed fine, then choose to pay online or to contest the case.
- Pay via net banking, card or UPI and save the receipt. Status updates in a few days.
What If You Don’t Pay?
If the Virtual Court fine is not paid within the given time, the case can be transferred to a regular court and you may receive a summons. Repeated non-payment can also affect services like RC transfer, fitness or licence renewal on Parivahan. In such cases, settling in an Evening Court, Weekend Court or the Lok Adalat may be the next step.
Contesting a Wrong Virtual Court Challan
If the challan is for a vehicle you don’t own, a sold vehicle, a cloned number plate or the photo doesn’t match, you can choose to contest. You will need proof (sale documents, RC, location evidence). An advocate can draft your reply and represent you.

What if the Virtual Court challan is not visible?
It may still be pending with the traffic police, already transferred to a regular court, or listed for Lok Adalat. Our team can trace it for you.
